SEAWEED FRIES
Makes 3 to 4 servings

1 oz package of dry Bull Kelp Fronds (Nereocystis luetkeana)
note: you can also use Nori sheets

with scissors cut kelp fronds into 1/2 inch slices.

1 cup oil of choice.

In a small pot heat oil. Test with small piece of Kelp. When the oil is hot enough the Bull kelp will turn green when fried.

This only takes less than 1 second to fry. Have a metal mesh scooping spoon ready to take out of oil in a flash. If it turns brown it is burned and it fried too long.

Start out by frying only one piece at a time at first. Take out of oil and place on plate lined with a paper towel.

Eat right away while still crisp and hot!
Also try crumbling fried kelp on rice or salad!
